I hate breakfast food. Ok, hate is a strong word. I highly dislike breakfast food. I’m not sure why, but I’d rather wake up at 8am and eat a burger than pancakes. Am I the only one?! If I had it my way, I’d wake up, have a cup of coffee and not eat until lunch. We all know that’s not the best option as you need something in the morning to give you energy for your day.
Once I found out we were expecting our first child last year I made a point to start consistently having breakfast. Who actually has time to cook and eat breakfast in the morning?! I prefer to snooze that alarm an extra 10 minutes than get up and make eggs. A morning protein shake was the perfect answer for me! I can put this shake together in just a few minutes in the morning or even the night before. It’s delicious, filling, and packed with nutrients.
I’ve had a few people reach out requesting the ingredients, so here you go!! I do vary it day to day so I don’t get bored with it. You can easily switch up the type of fruit you use and protein flavor. Next time I’ll share my Chocolate Peanut Butter version – YUM!
If you’re like me and need something quick in the morning, I highly recommend you jump on this train and start shaking things up 😉
xo, Kristin
